Music of the 1970s was a continuation of the ideals of the 1960s at the turn of the decade. However, as new trends and fads were introduced, pop-culture responded by introducing new-age music such as "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang, "Whip It" by Devo, and "Rock and Roll All Nite" by Kiss. Disco music also gained popularity throughout the decade, new-age rock bands formed, new technologies were added to enhance song quality, and American music was forever changed.
